We don't often get on a soapbox here on the ol' blog, but this is an important issue facing our little piece of paradise. The national media {and unfortunately some local individuals} would have you believe that our beaches are currently - or soon will be - full of oil. While there is a possibility that we may get some oil, please know that our beaches are as CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL as they've ever been! And furthermore, there is no forecast for the oil to head this direction. The photographs below were taken in the past few days {Thanks Davis Properties & Murray). Please come visit our area and pray with us that our beautiful beaches will remain unaffected and that a good solution will be found soon to cap the oil leak.
