Happy Thanksgiving!

We celebrated Thanksgiving early in Texas last week with an amazing home-cooked meal courtesy of my mother in law {ie: Martha Stewart}, football at the neighborhood park, a trip to the zoo and most importantly, treasured time with family. We're having a little celebration of our own today and giving our employees a much deserved day off. We are so thankful for our God, family, friends, employees and customers. We know that our success depends upon you and we hope we never miss an opportunity to show our gratitude. We wish you a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!

So we call it Trivia Night, but actually it's more like Comedy + Trivia when it's hosted by Kevin Boyle. We've moved Trivia Night to Thursdays at 6:00, because of all of the fun events happening around here on Fridays. So bring your own team or join another one tonight while you munch on pizza and enjoy a beverage or two. The topic is MOVIES. We're hoping Kevin will bring this guy who is like a one-man comedy show himself. We were lucky enough to catch him at the Flutterby Festival during improv story time, and we think he's the bomb.com {Are we young enough to use that vernacular?}.

One great dentist

We're so lucky to live in an area with experts in their fields who are also really nice people. One of those is Russell Richardson, a partner in Parkway Dental. The facility is gorgeous, the employees are extremely friendly and the procedures are comfortable and as painless as possible {as I can unfortunately attest}. Russell is one of those guys who immediately makes his patients feel at ease. He is great with people of all ages. Even little ones are introduced to the world of denistry with "happy visits." It is also impressive how tech-savvy the office is with text message and/or email reminders about upcoming appointments. We always love seeing Russell and his family at Pizza by the Sea and would love to recommend him to our customers. Just check out the pearly whites on this beauty!

A Toast to Trivia Night

Kevin Boyle was back for Friday's Trivia Night and though many were at the Mountain Film Festival, those of us who attended had a great time exercising our brains, laughing at Kevin and enjoying some good eats. Team Senor Pizza took home the victory and was such a fun group. We're taking a week off from trivia this week to encourage everyone to attend the Hurricane Party. Hope to see you there!

Mark your calendars, party people

Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) is hosting its 5th annual Hurricane Party Friday, November 13th, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. The party will be held at Bentley's on the Bay {the old 331 Restaurant} and feature the funky, Latin dance music of Jose Conde.

You can buy tickets at Pizza by the Sea or on the CVHN site. Tickets are $50 ahead of time or $65 at the door. There will be blackjack tables, live and silent auctions and food/drinks. We hope you'll join us for a night of fun to support a great cause!

Feast your eyes on this

For those of you who loyally read this blog, {Thanks, Sis!}, you will be happy to know that my new camera finally arrived {cue the "Hallelujah" chorus}. Hopefully fuzzy phone pics are a thing of the past. Now I must figure out how to work this beautiful new piece of equipment. I know it has something to do with aperture, so I'm off to read about dad-gum aperture. Incidentally, big thanks to Marla for recommending it. It only took a year for us to act on your recommendation!

While trick or treating with the little one in Seaside, we were beyond thrilled to bump into our old buddy Frank the Tank. It was also fun to see some other {less furry} friends as we ran around - and I do mean ran - it was cold! Just check out Santa's helper who obviously got the memo about the winds heading from the North Pole toward sunny Florida.
