Update: Helping Locals in Need

You may recall we asked for your help with the families in Bruce. Special thanks to Kate Johnson, Jan Stevens, Susan Breeden, Ann Stone & Kim Pall for their selfless efforts in getting assistance to these hurting families. Here is the latest update from Kate:

The Muscogee Nation of Florida’s Rural Relief program is coming together. This week the Knights of Columbus donated a deep freezer and two refrigerators for the Food Bank, temporarily located at the Bruce United Methodist Church. We are still accepting donated food (see list here), and have requested some specific items which are lacking:

- baby diapers
- feminine hygiene items
- shopping bags

The following drop-off locations are currently accepting donated items:

- The Premiere Property Group (Both WaterColor & Seacrest Beach Offices)
- Davis Properties (Seagrove Beach, at the corner of 395 & 30-A)
- Fire Restaurant (Grayton Beach)
- Pizza by the Sea (WaterColor Crossings/Publix Shopping Center)

From Ann Tucker, The Muscogee Nations Tribal Chairwoman:

On behalf of the people of the Muscogee Nation of Florida and our Tribal Council, thank you for your donation to the Rural Relief up Relief Project. Rural Relief is a hand up—not a hand out—to people living in the rural interior of Walton County. Your gift will enable the purchasing and distribution of food, clothing, energy funding or emergency household expenses. May your path continue to be blessed.
