Happy Halloween!!!!

We are paying homage to the most creative costume we've seen. This is Mark from Balance as the Tooth Fairy. He won "Best Costume" at the Alys Beach Halloween party last night. Kelli & Bart who own Balance also impressed as Native Americans. Work out at Balance and you'll look this great, too! :) Happy Halloween everyone and be safe tonight!

Amazingly good sports

We've said it a hundred times, but our employees rock! Case in point: Colby and Claire agreed to be mummified for the second year in a row during our Halloween festivities...and Claire is almost 9 months pregnant!!

The girls took ultimately took home the prize.

Colby also continued the tradition of the "Candy Corn Colby" game as little ones pelted him with candy. I actually think he had fun with this one and luckily, suffered no injuries.

The "Monster Marshmallow Mouth" game was really fun to watch.

In the end, this beauty was crowned the marshmallow queen. Such a great night.

We had a little Halloween party Tuesday night and this costume was definitely one of the most creative. More pics to come...

Are you ready???

Just five more shopping days until the best day of the year to look and act silly. We absolutely love all that happens from October to December. The best time of the year in our opinion, especially at the beach. We can't wait to see what creative costumes all of you locals will come up with. Happy Halloween week, friends!

Save Your Pennies: #7

We hope you've enjoyed this week's bargains. One last piece of advice we have is to check local online resources. These sites talk about local businesses' sales, discounts and even offer coupons. They all happen to be owned by some pretty nice folks, too, so support them by visiting their sites. Happy surfing!!

Save Your Pennies: #6

Sister restaurant to La Botana, Seagrove Coyote is a great place for breakfast and lunch. Their prices are very inexpensive and the food is yummy. Right now, they're offering a $5 coupon here. We especially love the Chicken Tacos and the salsa bar with different varieties of the good stuff. Our little one eats the queso by the spoonful and can't get enough of the black beans. The Coyote is owned by the Solomons, two of the nicest people we know, and run by Swede, the super-friendly face of La Botana. Located in the Grand Isle shopping center, Seagrove Coyote is open from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily. Stop by soon to support this great little place and the nice people who run it.

Save Your Pennies: #5

In the mood for some serious fashion at a serious discount? One of my favorite shops along 30A is Village Boutique. It is owned by friends Meredith Sullivan and Linda Bruner. Alicia and Chase are the other friendly faces at the precious shop, and they treat the place as if it were their own. Their customer service is impeccable - and best of all - not pushy. And their clothes and jewelry are gorgeous.

Most importantly, they take care of locals and offer an ongoing 15% discount. In addition, every Thursday is Local's Appreciation Day where they have other discounts or giveaways. Village Boutique is located in Blue Mountain Beach in the Redfish Village Shopping Center. For more info, join their Facebook page or call them at 850.267.0319.
