Support locals helping Russian orphans

The Russia Mission team from the Point Washington United Methodist Church is holding a fund raiser and auction this Sunday, June 8th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at Fonville Press in Alys Beach. They are raising money to support their trip to Russia to visit the Sovetsk and Sanchurst orphanages. Our neighbor, Judy Stoddard, is among those making the journey. She and her husband adopted son Ben from Russia when he was a baby, so this will be an especially meaningful trip for her.

The suggested donation is $50 per person, and everyone is welcome. Attendees with small children can take advantage of child care provided by the youth group at the church, but arrangements must be made in advance. Call Judy at 830-2624 for more information.
