Friends from Texas!

We are fortunate to have several groups of friends who vacation in Seaside every year. That means that we get to see them when they come! This week we got to see some friends we met in Dallas but haven't seen in 9 years. We were all part of a "Young Married Couples" Sunday School Class at Highland Park UMC. It was fun to meet each other's kids who we have only seen in pictures. As you can see, they had a blast!

Reunited!

After 3 months of living apart, our family is finally together again! Jason, Alex and Pepper the black lab arrived Tuesday with our UHaul of stuff, and Caroline, my sister Lori, the cat, the bunny, and I arrived yesterday. We are slowly unpacking and arranging things in our new home, but we are just happy to be under the same roof!

Thanks to Dylan, Jared, and Nick (PBTS staff) for helping move some of the heavy stuff and save Jason from a back injury! And thanks to all of you for your well-wishes as we have been in the process of being the new owners and relocating our family to the area. We are looking forward to meeting you soon!

Finally, thank you for your patience as the blog has been a bit sporadic with my orchestrating the move. I will be back on the ball soon!

Lighthouse Family Retreat

We were so fortunate to host 10 couples from the Lighthouse Family Retreat program at PBTS last evening. Lighthouse was founded to serve families living through childhood cancer, and to help them enjoy family time together and find hope in God. What an amazing ministry!
