Just Go Barefoot!
We are so excited for friends Murphy & Jenny, who just opened Barefoot B-B-Q in Seaside. This is not your typical barbeque joint. The food is served from an airstream donning a grass skirt, all of the meats are organic and the kids meals come on a frisbee instead of a plate - too fun!
There are four custom sauces from which to choose with fun names like Hot Lava and Hang Ten. The sides are delicious {try the beans and potato salad!} and the owners are super-cool folks. Murphy created a secret ingredient called Tiki Dust that he recommends you shake onto your food. See their menu here.
Go check 'em out soon and hang with some of your favorite locals. We've been twice since they opened Wednesday and loved catching up with people like Tommy & Gigi Brantley. Gigi just opened 30A Genie to take care of your concierge needs. She can help with everything from grocery shopping to restaurant reservations to checking the lightbulbs in your rental condo or house. And to top it off, she has a heart of gold.
Congratulations Murphy & Jenny on a great new restaurant and Gigi & Tommy on the best concierge service around!!

Spoiled Rotten
Playgrounds, ice cream, new princess clothes, more playgrounds, toys at Target and splashing in otherwise forbidden fountains. This is what happens when the grandparents come to town! Thanks for giving our little one the time of her life.

We heart kids
We are thrilled about our latest award for Best Kid-Friendly Dining from South Walton Scene. We decided before we opened Pizza by the Sea that we wanted it to be a place where kids could have fun and be themselves. Thanks to everyone who voted.

Reflections of Easter
Hope everyone had a very special Easter holiday. We spent the day with friends enjoying this beautiful place we are blessed enough to call home.
Jenna, our stellar part-time employee at Movies by the Sea, was just hired as the director of Camp Watercolor. She and her crew did a fabulous job of creating a fun day of egg hunting and games for the little ones. We are so happy for Jenna and think the world of her. She is going to do such wonderful things at WaterColor!
One highlight of my day was seeing these gorgeous girls at church wearing their hats from Movies by the Sea. How great do they look?

It's a very GOOD Friday
We are always mindful of the reason we celebrate Easter which means much more to us than bunnies and eggs. We are grateful to our Lord, family, friends and great customers like you. Thank you for supporting us and we hope you have a very blessed Easter weekend.

Playing the fool

Well, I thought I would be so clever and play an April Fool's joke on my husband. I put one of our daughter's bathtub color pellets in his faucet which turned the water blue. I mean BRIGHT blue. He barely even flinched and certainly didn't give me the reaction I was hoping for. I feel so cheated. Maybe some of you will see this before the day's end and try it to see if you get a better response. In the meantime, I must come up with something better, so leave me a comment or email if you have ideas.
