Employee Spotlight: Colby

Meet one of our stellar employees who is a local celebrity in his own right. All you have to say is "Colby" and everyone on 30A knows who you're referring to. He recommended his favorite pizza to so many people that we finally put it on the menu and named it after him. We're lucky to have Colby as a friend and member of our team. Here's a bit more about him.

Number of years you've lived here: 20
What brought you here: My dad retired from the army and we moved here.
Another job you've held that's totally different from PBTS: Publix cashier/grocery escort
Your favorite thing about working at PBTS: Creating the soon to be world famous Colby Special and meeting some of my best friends through the restaurant.

A Night for The Rep

If you read our blog, you know how much we enjoy supporting area charities and organizations. Thursday night we hosted "Dining for The Rep" and were honored to be chosen as their first restaurant in a series of fundraisers. We donated the food and attendees donated their money to a worthwhile cause. If you aren't familiar with The Rep, check out their website here. It was a great night and we thank everyone for supporting The Rep.

We always love supporting the Saint Rita Preschool. Their Saturday fundraiser attracted a great group of families and teachers, including newly named director, Ali Barrett. Congratulations, Ali!

We've bragged about DejaVu before. We try our best to support local hard-working, reputable businesses, and this one is particularly great. Why do we love DejaVu? Let us count the ways...

1. Owners Stephanie & Justin Nichols are dear friends, great customers and some of the nicest people we've ever met.
2. Stephanie has impeccable taste. Her store and merchandise are incredibly beautiful.
3. Everything at DejaVu is reasonably priced - yes, even at the beach.
4. DejaVu's employees are experts in dressing their customers. They are friendly {and not pushy} and available when you need them.
5. They named a dress after me! {Okay, I know this means nothing to you, but I got to enjoy a moment of mini celebrity.}
