Employee Spotlight: Little Miss Sunshine

There is probably not a week that goes by without a customer commenting on how friendly Claire is. She started working for us at Movies by the Sea a couple of years ago and has been with us since day one at the pizza place. She gets to know our guests and calls most people by name. Sometimes, she even knows what they want to order before they do! She is a loyal, hard-working employee and friend. She is also a full-time preschool teacher and host of Game Night at the pizza place. Whew! How does she do it? Here's a bit more about our very own Little Miss Sunshine:

Hometown: Nashville, TN
Family: Daughter Madi {her adorable pup}
Number of years you've lived here: Almost two
What brought you here: I needed a break from the rat race and really missed my mom.
Another job you've held that's totally different from PBTS: I was in furniture sales for a hot minute. I was terrible.
Something interesting about you: I really hate it if my food touches on my plate and I would die if I couldn't have cheese.
Your favorite thing about working at PBTS: The best part is the people I work with. We don't just work together, we're family. We take care of each other and really look out for one another. Oh, and I have the best bosses ever {Gotta love her!}.

Employee Spotlight: Rich

There are honestly not enough nice things to say about Rich. He is highly talented, extremely reliable and humble, despite his impressive resume. We admit he's probably grossly overqualified to work in our kitchen - he's a culinary school grad, after all. He has prepared meals for such celebs as Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio and was Personal Chef to Alfred Lerner, former owner of the Cleveland Browns. We are so happy to have Rich on our team to lend his experience and expertise. Here's a bit more about him.

Hometown: Born in Queens, NY and raised in Yonkers, NY
Family: My beautiful wife Sonia and my amazing little boy James
Number of years you've lived here: Three
What brought you here: I moved to be the Head Chef at Great Southern Cafe in Seaside.
Another job you've held that's totally different from Pizza by the Sea: Sonia and I continue to run Pascalli Foods, Inc.
Your favorite thing about working at Pizza by the Sea: Making people happy with food is my favorite thing to do, and I get to do that every day.

Calling All Pan Hoarders!

Okay, you know who you are. You took a pizza pan to decorate {some of you over a year ago!}, and you still haven't returned it. Our walls are filling up and we love the way it looks, but we want you to be a part of the fun, too. So get out that paint or those photos and get going. We promise not to chastise you when you drop off your masterpiece.

Happy Birthday, Cherie!

Cherie is the Children's Minister at Point Washington Methodist, and kids of all ages love her. We hope your day was special, Cherie. It's always great to see you and your sweet family at the pizza place.
